How was your weekend? Don’t answer that - my comment section seems to be broken. For now…

Now that I’m living back in Ohio, I can’t be obsessed over making movies anymore. I’ve done a lot of work around the house and so I’m over that obsession for now. I figured it was about time to start obsessing over cars again. I’ve always loved classic muscle cars and hot rods. I even brought my ‘68 GTO back from California with me.

Well, a big car show came to town this past weekend and I took L.A. Mommy and L.A. Baby with me. It was a beautiful day to be outside - it was sunny but there were enough clouds up there to keep it from getting too hot. The show was down at the Ohio fairgrounds. L.A. Girl was staying with grandma, it was just the three of us.

We were standing in line, waiting to buy our tickets to get in, when a man walked up to me and handed me a free pass to get inside. I said thanks and he said, “That way you only have to buy one ticket.” When we got up to the window, the woman told me they didn’t accept credit cards - cash only. I had planned to get cash inside, at an ATM, so I checked my wallet. Turns out, I only had enough cash for just one ticket on me…. but that’s all I needed.Talk about being in the right place at the right time.

We walked around and looked at all the vendors, looked at all the cool cars, and ate some lunch. It was a nice time but we were actually all tired enough that we went home and took naps. It was a good day and a great way to break in my new obsession.

Okay, time to rebuild my carburetor.
